AceSpike Privacy Policy

Introduction

AceSpike ("the app," "we," "us") is a volleyball spike-analysis app operated by Faheem Basheer, an individual developer. This policy explains what information AceSpike collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. By using AceSpike, you agree to this policy.

Who this app is for

AceSpike is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and name to create and identify your account. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email," we receive only the relay address Apple provides.

Profile and training information you provide. During onboarding and use, you provide details such as your playing position, experience level, dominant hand, height, vertical jump, training frequency, and training goals. This personalizes your analysis and coaching.

Spike videos. When you record or upload a spike for analysis, the video is sent to our servers and passed to an AI model that analyzes your technique. After analysis, the original video is deleted. We retain a single still thumbnail image and the analysis results (scores, observations, and coaching text) so you can review your progress. We do not keep your original video footage after processing.

Coaching chat. Messages you send to the in-app AI Coach ("Rafa") are stored in your account and sent to an AI model to generate replies.

Training activity. We store your analyses, drill completions, vertical-jump entries, streaks, and progress so the app can show your history and personalize recommendations.

Subscription information. When you subscribe, our payment partner processes your purchase and provides us a record of your subscription status and a user identifier. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details — those are handled by the app stores and the payment processor.

What we do NOT collect

AceSpike does not use third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting services. We do not show ads. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your personal information.

How we use your information

• To provide spike analysis and personalized coaching
• To maintain your account, progress, and training history
• To operate your subscription and access to paid features
• To respond to your support requests
• To maintain the security and integrity of the app
• With your separate, optional consent (off by default): to retain certain clips to improve the app's analysis quality (see "Helping improve AceSpike" below)

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers needed to run the app:

• Supabase — our backend provider (database, authentication, file storage, server functions). Stores your account, profile, training data, chat messages, and processes video uploads.
• Google (Gemini AI) — receives your spike video (during analysis) and your coaching chat messages to generate analysis and replies. Google processes this data to provide the AI service.
• Google and Apple — provide sign-in. They handle your authentication.
• Our payment processor and the app stores — process your subscription.

We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or any party for marketing purposes.

Helping improve AceSpike (optional, off by default)

You can choose, through a setting that is turned off by default, to let us retain some of your spike clips to help improve the app's analysis in future versions. If you do not turn this on, your videos are deleted after analysis as described above. You can turn this setting off at any time, and you can ask us to delete clips retained under it by contacting us. We use clips retained this way only to improve AceSpike's analysis quality, never for advertising and never shared with data brokers.

How long we keep information

• Account, profile, and training data: while your account is active.
• Spike videos: deleted after analysis (unless you opted into retention above).
• Thumbnails and analysis results: kept as part of your training history until you delete them or your account.
• Chat messages: kept as part of your account until you delete your account.

Your choices and rights

• Access and correction: you can view and update much of your profile in the app.
• Deletion: you can delete your account and associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing feem3241@gmail.com. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, training data, thumbnails, chat messages, and any retained clips. Deletion is permanent.
• Opt out of clip retention: the improvement setting is off by default; you control it in Settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (Europe), LGPD (Brazil), or similar. To exercise any right, contact feem3241@gmail.com.

Data security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and access controls provided by our backend provider, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

International users

AceSpike is available globally. Your information may be processed on servers located in countries other than your own, including by the service providers listed above. By using the app, you consent to this processing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date, and where appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
